GWAR ready new album; continue to be hilarious

Heavy metal sextet Gwar are an act unmatched by any other in my book. Their live show, which pairs comedic songs and over-the-top shock-rock antics, is one of the most consistently entertaining performances out there, and while the band’s studio recordings don’t quite match it, they’re still quite fun to listen to every once in a while.

In August, Gwar will release their twelfth studio album, entitled Lust in Space. Since the release date is a bit far off, there isn’t much more info out there at the moment, but the article does mention a bonus track called, “GWARnication.” Yeah.

The band is currently on tour to celebrate its 25th anniversary – dare I say, GWARnniversary? – and there’ll most likely be more tour dates to come. You can view the current list of dates here.
