Fan Journal: Trevor Noah at Heinz Hall

Want all of the benefits of an ab workout without actually working out? Go see Comedy Central’s The Daily Show host Trevor Noah’s stand-up act. The unending laughter is more than enough to qualify as exercise (or at least that’s what I’m going with)! I was lucky enough to see him last Friday night as part of a double header of headlining shows at Pittsburgh’s historic Heinz Hall. With 7:30 and 10:00pm performances, I downed some coffee and psyched myself up for the latter of the two.

Between Trevor and his opener, Angelo Lozada, I couldn’t keep myself from laughing to the point of tears. As an avid fan of The Daily Show and Trevor Noah’s other projects, it was fantastic to see the versatility of his comedic style in person. What really sets him apart from many comedians is his incredible storytelling: it was fascinatingly descriptive, and the punchlines stuck perfectly. If you ever have the opportunity to see Trevor Noah, skip the gym and be prepared for a full-on laughter workout!
