One of the most anticipated parts of any comic comic con is being able to meet your idols live and in person. At ECCC, you’ll have countless opportunities to get autographs and photos with your favorite celebrities, like Harry Potter’s Rupert Grint, Blackbird’s Jen Bartel, and Game of Thrones’ Gwendoline Christie. Showcase Your Tabletop Skills
Back and bigger than ever, Emerald City Comic Con’s Gaming areas will welcome gamers of all interests and skill levels for a weekend full of unbridled tournaments and play. Stay late into the evening, long after the main show floor and panels have ended for the day, to test out some unpublished board games, construct games with your own characters and stories, and even stretch your creative muscles in the return of the Game Design Challenge. Clean Up Your Cosplay Craft
The Western Championships of Cosplay, the largest and most prestigious costume contest on the West Coast, is coming to ECCC as the first stop in ReedPOP’s 2019 Global Championships of Cosplay! A celebration of all things pop culture, this competition is a craftsmanship award show featuring characters and elements from the pop culture realm. Apply now for your chance to win $5,000 in prizes, and for entrance to the final round of the 2020 C2E2 Crown Championships of Cosplay in Chicago. However, if you want a little more preparation before you enter the big leagues, there’ll be plenty to learn and participate in at Cosplay Central, including workshop and special guest meetups!
Keep the Party Going All Night Long
If you didn’t get enough comic book and pop culture content during the show hours, fear not! With ECCC Presents, you’ll find a curation of after-hours events throughout downtown Seattle during the entire show week. Head over to Star Trek: The Next 50 Years to join “Trekspert” Mark A. Altman as he shares his stories about the making of all eight series.
