It’s that time of the year again, Huckers! The highly anticipated return of Huck Finn Jubilee, the beloved festival featuring an eclectic mix of traditional and progressive bluegrass music, is back for its 41st year in Cucamonga-Guasti Regional Park! The festival’s mission is to unite like-minded people, offer a platform to bring peace and positivity into the world, and just have a whole lot of fun. As the West Coast’s premier bluegrass festival, this event features virtuosic musicianship, great food, beautiful park amenities, music education, camping, fishing, and tons of family fun!
New to this year, Huck Finn Jubilee will be under new, family-run management. The new owners, Nikki and Roger, attended the festival in 2016 and adored the music, array of activities, and overall positive vibe. When they heard that 2016 was to be the festival’s last year, they decided they couldn’t let that happen. “It’s important that we honor the tradition of this festival,” they said, “because the community deserves it and we want to take you on the musical journey that we experienced.” So with a mission to maintain the high quality its fans have come to expect, they purchased the festival and brought it back for 2018.
With a long list of musical talent and family-friendly activities, Huck Finn 2018 is poised to be a hit. The Yonder Mountain String Band will fiddle up and down the stage, rocking the crowd with every chord. The Lone Bellow are known for their soulful live shows, and will no doubt put on an unforgettable performance. Keller Williams’ Grateful Grass will serenade your eardrums with incredible harmonies, classic songs, and world-class picking. And the Infamous Stringdusters will get your heart pumping with their sultry songs.
The perfect event for the whole family, Huck Finn Jubilee has a ton of attractions to keep you entertained all weekend long! Take a walk on the slackline to practice your balance and concentration. Use discarded objects to create new beauty by participating in the community raising of a Huck Finn Jubilee totem pole. And watch as all your Little Huckers participate in the talent show by performing music, jokes, a cappella songs, dance, or anything else they can come up with!
