Our team had a blast playing today’s hottest games at PAX South, snapping selfies with some pretty phenomenal cars at the Washington Auto Show, and helping other Pittsburgh natives plan a vacation of a lifetime at The Pittsburgh Travel Showcase!
Check out our teams’ recaps and awesome photos below!
PAX South – Katie Smith
Last weekend, thousands of gamers gathered in San Antonio, TX for the third annual PAX South. The convention drew crowds from all over the country to take part in game demos, hear panel discussions, visit large exhibitor booths, and of course – play games!
At ShowClix, we are always excited to partner with PAX to facilitate the online ticket sales, walk-up ticket sales, and on-site badge distribution. A special thanks to Cathy and all of the ReedPOP staff for always welcoming us to their team!
Next up for PAX? PAX East in Boston is quickly approaching (March 10-12). Tickets are already sold out, but if you’re lucky enough to have a badge, we will see you there!
Washington Auto Show – Jim Rice
This has been my second year being on-site for the Washington National Auto Show, and each year I am amazed to see the Walter E. Washington Convention Center packed with more than 600 vehicles and even more people. Â I was in and out of Washington D.C. all in the same day to help WANADA prepare for their event. Â
In between training groups, I had a moment to walk the floor and check out some of the cars and see some of the panels going on. After training all the staff and visiting some panels, I was off to the airport again to return to Pittsburgh.
If you love cars and the roar of an engine, make sure to check out the final days of  Washington Auto Show before this event speeds away!

I dropped by the convention center to train event staff who were using our scanner technology and guest list to check in attendees and look up orders if needed.
I was impressed with the amount of vendors on the show floor as well as some other attractions like a visit from a penguin from the Pittsburgh Aviary, a tiki-themed bar and an amazing display of snacks, and goods from Amish country.
