This week I had the opportunity to work on-site with our partners at the Philadelphia Flower Show. Produced by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, this is the 190th year of the show, making it the longest running horticultural event in the U.S.! Running March 2-10, the Philadelphia Flower Show features stunning displays by the world’s premier floral and landscape designers, and is an absolute must-see (especially considering this chilly March weather).
As part of the ShowClix Event Operations team on-site for the first weekend of this year’s event, I had quite a few duties to help ensure an amazing event experience for each attendee. Our team handled access control at all entrances of the event, and we also provided self-service ticketing kiosks for walk-up ticket sales, among other general on-site support tasks.
This year, the show’s theme is “Flower Power,” paying tribute to the impact of flowers on our lives. In addition to the exhibit hall floor filled to the brim with beautiful floral displays, the show also features early morning tours, garden teas, floral competitions, craft areas, and even a Butterfly Live room with hundreds of beautiful butterflies flying about. If you’ll be in Philadelphia between now and March 10, please do yourself a favor and experience this amazing show in person. We’re already looking forward to what next year has in store!
