Do you ever wish there was an event where you could see “Weird Al” Yankovic, Dominic Cooper, and Rose McIver all in the same day? Well now you can! The fifth annual Rose City Comic Con (RCCC) is coming to the Oregon Convention Center September 8-10, and it’s going to be bigger than ever! Thanks to a new partnership with LeftField Media, RCCC will now be three days long, so lovers of comics can spend their whole weekend meeting celebrities, showing off their cosplay, and attending cool panels.
Rose City Comic Con has exploded over the years, and even though the celebrity guest list has grown, this con still holds the hometown charm and intimacy that long-term attendees know and love. RCCC’s focus is creating a fun and memorable event for its attendees, and it only gets better every year.
With hundreds of artists, exhibitors, and special guests, RCCC will be a great experience for any comic connoisseur or anime enthusiast. Meet your favorite creators, like Kelly Sue DeConnick, Matt Fraction, Dustin Nguyen, Scottie Young, and many more! Connect with awesome exhibitors, like Oni Press, Thirteenth Floor, Dark Horse Comics, and Image Comics. And don’t forget the headliners: “Weird Al” Yankovic and Peter Capaldi!
But that’s not all! You can prepare for Rose City Comic Con by purchasing Photo Op tickets with your favorite celebs beforehand. Get a personalized photo with Peter Capaldi, the 12th Doctor from Doctor Who; James and Oliver Phelps, Fred and George from Harry Potter; Tom Kenny, the voice of Spongebob Squarepants; and so many more!
And what would a Comic Con be without a costume contest? Embody your favorite character and hone your cosplay skills with RCCC’s annual costume contest. Every con-goer can participate, and maybe even win some pretty neat prizes along the way!
Back by popular demand, Image Comics is hosting a formal Fall Homecoming dance for the entire comics community during the Rose City Comic Con festivities. Fans and industry members alike are encouraged to abandon adulthood for a night, and relive what it was like to be back in high school.
