Taft Museum of Art – Brandon Lehman
Saturday, February 20th marked the public opening of the Daubigny, Monet, Van Gogh: Impressions of Landscape exhibition at the Taft Museum of Art. I made the short trip from Pittsburgh to Cincinnati to assist with the opening and helped set up our box office and scanning solutions. I had the opportunity to tour the gallery and the beautiful historic house, featuring an impressive collection of European & American paintings, Chinese porcelains, and 19th-century New York furniture. I was also able to sit down for lunch with Brooke and Cynthia from the Taft in the Lindner Family Cafe. The chef created French dishes inspired by the exhibition so needless to say, it was equally elegant as it was delicious.
The Daubigny, Monet, Van Gogh: Impressions of Landscape exhibition runs until May 29th. If you’re local or can make the trip, I’d highly suggest visiting the Taft Museum of Art. Read more about the exhibit, get tickets, and more at the link below:

History Uncorked: Toys – Matt Jessey
For those who might be unfamiliar, History Uncorked is an annual fundraising event whose proceeds support the educational programs and services of the Heinz History Center. This premier party for young professionals, is always sure to be fun time including live music, hors d’oeuvres, and cocktails.
This was my second year volunteering to help out with on-site support for this event. Knowing everything will run smoothly, with the collaboration of the Director of Administration Tonia and her staff, we used our system to process ticket sales and scan in guests as they arrive.
With this years theme of Toy’s, we got to play awesome games like life-size Chess, Twister, and giant Connect Four! Fellow ShowClix partner, ReplayFX, was also out in full force at History Uncorked: TOYS, providing guests with a chance to play some vintage video games and pinball. If you are in Pittsburgh July 28th – 31st, 2016, make sure to come out to the David L. Lawrence Convention Center to check them out.

Lego KidsFest Charlotte – Katie Smith
LEGO KidsFest in Charlotte was awesome. All 5 of the sessions were completely sold out in advance, so the entire area was full of excited kids (and sometimes even more excited parents). As always, Amanda and Chris from Buzz Engine were great to work with.
The event included a number of brand new models and interactive areas, which were super cool. All of the Charlotte families were very friendly as well. My favorite groups of the weekend were the families that kept their destination a surprise from their kids – when they would walk down the hall and the kids realized where they were – the reactions were priceless!
