The holiday season is upon us! While we were finishing up that leftover turkey and stuffing, we thought it would be a good idea to start filling our calendar with the cons, concerts, and Yuletide events that make December awesome!


LEGO KidsFest Hartford Connecticut Convention Center, Hartford, CT – December 2-4, 2016

Get ready, brick builders! The LEGO KidsFest tour continues its trek visiting dozens of cities across North America, bringing along hands-on activities, competitions, and thousands upon thousands of LEGO bricks. You won’t want to miss a second of this action packed family fun event!

Steel City Con Monroeville Convention Center, Monroeville, PA – December 9-11, 2016

One of Pittsburgh’s favorite conventions returns to the Monroeville Convention Center this December! Steel City Con brings together the best of comics, TV, movies, and pop culture all in one amazing weekend. Harry Potter’s Bonnie Wright, wrestling legend Chris Jericho, The Walking Dead’s Michael Cudlitz, and so many more of your favorite actors and personalities will be in attendance. Get your best cosplay ready, and we’ll see you at the con!

A Christmas Eve Jewbilee Stage 48, New York, NY – December 24, 2016

Hebro’s most anticipated annual event returns to New York’s Stage 48 once again this holiday season. A Christmas Eve Jewbilee is truly a one-of-a-kind party. Hebro is a social organization focusing on the unique culture of gay Jews in New York and beyond. Celebrate the first night of Hanukkah and the 10th year of “NYC’s Hottest Party for Gay Jew & Bagel Chasers!”


Nights of a Thousand Candles Brookgreen Gardens, Murrells Inlet, SC – December 1-18, 2016

Over 5,500 hand-lit candles and thousands of dazzling lights illuminate the gardens while you walk the paths with friends and family. A beautiful glass sculpture exhibit, live entertainment, and nightly lighting of an 80-foot-tall Christmas tree make this an unforgettable holiday experience. World Latin Dance Cup Deauville Beach Resort, Miami, FL – December 11-18, 2016

After nearly 30 years, Grace Polaris Church will be presenting the final run of its beloved Living Christmas Trees performance this month. Immerse yourself in this moving holiday story as you marvel at the 40-piece live orchestra, vocalists, and a cast consisting of hundreds of talented players. A Living Christmas Trees performance is difficult to put into words; it’s something you just have to experience for yourself!

Music of the Mad Men Era Dick Van Dyke Auditorium, Danville, IL – December 10, 2016

Danville’s Dick Van Dyke Auditorium will become 1960s Madison Avenue for one night this December! Renowned vocal group Five By Design will join the Danville Symphony Orchestra to present the Music of the Mad Men Era. Reminisce with classics made popular by Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, Nat King Cole, Rosemary Clooney, and many more. Don Draper would give up his Lucky Strikes to attend this one!

North Pole Express 2016 Union Depot St. Paul, Shoreview, MN – Select Dates in December 2016

Setting up the model train set is a classic Christmas tradition, but why stop there? Board the North Pole Express at Union Depot and take a trip all the way to the North Pole!
