Presales are a great way to drum up buzz about your event ahead of time, and they allow your loyal customers to buy tickets before they go on sale to the general public. Not only does offering presales give you an opportunity to reward these early birds with discounted tickets and other perks, it also helps you gain an early estimate of attendee interest so you can hire adequate staffing and security, prepare enough merchandise, and more. With ShowClix, implementing presales has never been easier, as you can create and distribute unique presale codes straight from the Admin.
After you create an event, go to the Manage tab in the ShowClix Admin. Select “Add Coupon” and then choose “Presale” from the Coupon Type dropdown menu. You’ll then be prompted to create a unique coupon name and code, like “EARLYBIRD10,” which you will eventually distribute to your selected customers. If you have multiple events, you can choose to assign the presale code globally across all of them, or you can apply it to individual events and price levels. You also have the option of further customizing your presale by designating a limited number of available codes, the time frame they’ll be available, and whether or not to limit how many tickets can be purchased using a given code. Plus, you can repeat this process to simultaneously distribute as many different presale codes as you want, or even to create unique codes for each selected customer in order to further restrict unauthorized presale access and better track usage.
