Experience Feats of Daring and Shenanigans Abound
All season long, attendees will enjoy a rotating cast of exceptional performances. Watch the world catch fire with Adam Crack: Fire Whip, who holds seven Guiness Book World Records and encourages a blaze of audience participation. Pass the time by witnessing some exploding produce with How Weapons Work, an interactive journey showcasing weapons and armor in the most creative way. And, new to this year, rock out to traditional Irish Rock with The Jackdaws!
Enjoy Human-Powered Artisans, Games, and Rides
Bristol Renaissance Faire is filled with every classic booth, shop, and activity you could think of! Climb the 40-foot castle at the climbing wall, take aim at the archery station, make furry friends at the petting zoo, and so much more! Then, support your local artisans by perusing their products, including everything from jewelry, to perfumes, to incense, to musical instruments, and beyond. Plus, if you’re feeling creative, stop by Queen’s College, where would-be artisans and history buffs alike are transported into an immersive environment to learn 16th Century arts, like basket-weaving, candle-making, and chain-maille construction. Partake in Live Action Role Play with RenQuest™
Get ready for one of the most highly-anticipated events of the Faire season. Spanning the entire 30-acre Faire site, Bristol’s ever-evolving live action fantasy-play game, RenQuest, provides players with an interactive theatrical gaming experience, where they become a hero or villain and change the fate of the city by completing quests, honing skills, and defeating monstrous enemies. Plus, Kids’ Quest provides the Faire’s younger attendees the opportunity to embark on their own adventures as well!
Save the Date for Special Events and Theme Weekends
If you’re looking for an even more niche experience, plan your trip around the theme weekend of your choice. There’s something for everyone, whether you go during the Steampunk Invasion weekend, Swashbuckler weekend, or for RennCon™, a convention experience unlike anything you’ve ever seen before that includes cosplay photo meetups, panels, special guests, and more.
If you find yourself a bit thirsty, you’ll not only have the opportunity to spend all day in the Faire enjoying the food and sights, you’ll also be able to go on a guided tour of the Faire’s finest pubs! Meet other medieval enthusiasts as you travel to four different pubs, receiving a beverage at each location.
