Event Spotlight: Happy Place

The world can always use a little more happy, right? Jared Paul sure thought so when he created his masterpiece pop-up experience, Happy Place. Happy Place is a spot where anyone who walks through is surrounded by all things happy, and inevitably leaves with a smile on their face. After its massively successful and sold-out debut in Los Angeles, this interactive pop-up exhibit is spreading the good vibes through its move to Chicago, now through August 6!

Nothing short of a dream, Happy Place features larger-than-life installations, multi-sensory themed rooms, and a whole lot of selfie moments so you can Capture Your Happy. Back in Los Angeles, over 100,000 attendees experienced the 20,000-foot exhibit of positivity, and there’s no doubt Chicago will reach thousands more.

Decorated with larger than life bright yellow fly guys, the outside of the installation teases attendees with what to expect inside. Once you enter the exhibit, you’ll immediately be immersed in a delightfully quirky experience. Have you ever wanted to dance in the middle of a confetti dome? Here’s your chance! You may have been lucky enough to see a double rainbow before, but now you can dive off of one into a massive pot of bright yellow balls. And you might enjoy the company of a rubber duck at bath time, but at Happy Place, you can actually pose inside a bathtub surrounded by hundreds of rubber ducks!

And that’s only the beginning. Imagine 7-foot stilettos made of a million candies. A wall of 1,000 red lips. 6-foot-tall X and O letters made out of thousands of tiny mirrors (to get the best angle for your Insta post, of course.) Even the food will make your followers jealous, as the on-site food trucks feature happy-themed items, including a Rainbow Grilled Cheese. And if you’re thirsty, you can grab a drink from a classic lemonade stand, where all net proceeds will benefit a local Chicago charity.

There are so many more installations and interactive rooms to look forward to, but we don’t want to give it all away. So don’t just take our word for it; get your tickets to experience Happy Place today!
