Event Spotlight: I Like Scary Movies

Come play with us in L.A.’s most haunting interactive art experience, I Like Scary Movies.  Luring fans into reimagined worlds of beloved horror films such as The ShiningITBeetlejuiceA Nightmare on Elm Street, and Friday the 13th, this groundbreaking exhibit is designed to stoke your imagination while sending shivers down your spine. Featuring amazing large-scale photo opportunities, this first-of-its-kind nightmarish installation is the perfect place for scary movie fans of all ages!

The I Like Scary Movies experience is brought to life by Maximillian, the experiential artist behind many Comic-Con installations and other national activations over the past 20 years, including the Snakes on a Plane fuselage, the Pirates of the Caribbean Black Pearl shipwreck, the drone light show at Dodger Stadium for Wonder Woman, and more. “Our goal was to create an experience where fans could take their time to engage with the fantastical worlds of scary movies that have shaped their fandom,” says Maximillian. “We want them to be able to take a deep creative dive into some of their favorite movies in a way that is fun, engaging, artistic, and memorable, allowing them to really explore and enjoy the thrill of it all.”

I Like Scary Movies offers attendees the unique opportunity to enjoy and interact with their favorite horror films in a completely new way! Relive the creepiest moments of The Shining as you meet the twins and explore different corners of the Overlook Hotel. Wander through Beetlejuice’s graveyard on the way to the Neitherworld Waiting Room. Have a seat on the throne of Freddy Krueger, before exiting his boiler room to get “snatched” by his giant glove from A Nightmare on Elm Street. Get a glimpse inside the mind of Pennywise the Clown as you visit his sewer lair from IT. Then pack your bags for Camp Crystal Lake to experience Jason Voorhees’ stomping grounds before exiting through the ghoulish gift shop!

This isn’t a scare maze, and there won’t be anyone in costume jumping out to grab you. It’s something straight out of a nightmare, in the best way. Get your heart racing at I Like Scary Movies, and get your tickets today!
