Join the fan family in celebrating LACC’s #octoversary with this eighth annual weekend of incredible celebrities, thrilling panels and activities, and overall community celebration. Filled with the most exciting and innovative experiences in comics, video games, sci-fi, fantasy, horror, and all things pop culture, L.A. Comic Con promises a weekend to remember.
Last year 90,000 attendees gathered together to create one of the most diverse and celebrated pop culture events in the U.S. This year, with over 700 artists and vendors selling comics, collectibles, and more, L.A. Comic Con is pulling out all the stops to ensure you come away with a great haul! Plus, with a diverse selection of panels, events, and meet & greets, you’ll have the opportunity to get up close and personal with some of your favorite celebrities from the worlds of comics and entertainment! All weekend long, you’ll be able to meet up with awesome special guests. Meet American actor and semi-retired professional wrestler, WWE Hall of Famer Jake “The Snake” Roberts. Put your hands together for broadway star Kimberly Brown, who appeared in three shows including Les Miserables and Showboat. Get to know Thomas Ian Nicholas, the actor, singer, and musician who’s best known for his roles in Rookie of the Year, Walt Before Mickey, and, of course, the American Pie film series. Not to mention a ton of fan favorites including legendary actor Danny Trejo, Tenacious D’s Jack Black and Kyle Gass, Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld, and so many more!
In addition to all these amazing guests, there are so many events and activities planned that there’s guaranteed to be something for everyone. Have you ever wondered if you had what it takes to become a voice actor? In the workshop Cartoons: The Basics of Voice Acting with Sara Jane Sherman and Michaela Dietz, you’ll get one-on-one advice from the pros! Dress for success when you take part in the Fourth Annual Cosplay National Championship, only at Los Angeles Comic Con. Cosplay from across genres are welcome, including characters from television, theater, comics, video games, sci-fi, anime, horror, and even original creations! There’s even a special Kid’s Halloween Costume Contest for the young cosplay fans. Plus, for the third year in a row, watch and vote for your favorite film in GeekFest’s Year 5, a full film festival event featuring over 30 films. Whether it be science fiction, horror, fantasy, or fan films, every fandom will be represented, and you can vote for your favorite.
