Event Spotlight: The Classic Auto Show

Do you have a passion for classic cars? Do you want to meet all of your favorite auto celebrities? Do you live in or near LA? Then you need to get yourself to The Classic Auto Show from March 2-4! Held at the Los Angeles Convention Center, The Classic Auto Show is the largest three-day indoor classic car show in the US. Whether you’re a collector, are working on restoring your own project car, or simply share a passion for classics, this event is for you! The entire classic car community comes together to celebrate the cars they love, creating the perfect opportunity to bounce ideas off other renovators and get inspired by revolutionary builds.

Experience two entire floors of the LA Convention Center packed with over 1000 classic rides, including rarely seen, museum-quality classics and celebrity builds. As in previous years, you’ll see the cars you love, view real-time restoration, shop through the vendor marketplace, and have the opportunity to test drive what may just turn out to be your dream car! You’ll see panels and get autographs from your favorite auto celebrities, like Chip Foose, Wayne Carini, and Stacey David. You’ll see products from exhibitors like Hagerty, Proslat, and Swisstrax. But what makes 2018 special is all of the brand new features, including new exhibit areas showcasing Hot Rods, Lowriders, Women Builds, and so much more!

Check out just a handful of the awesome features you can look forward to at this year’s Classic Auto Show!

Restoration Station

New to 2018 comes the Restoration Station, where enthusiasts can learn from the experts, get the advice they’ve been craving, and learn real techniques to get their build running like new. Professionals from all around the world have come together to offer their expertise, so take advantage of it! Restoration Garage‘s Thomas Douglas, General Manager of the Guild of Automotive Restorers, emcees all weekend long, as well as participating in multiple restoration panel presentations. You won’t want to miss the other amazing presentations either, like the “Upholstery Demo” with Marco Diaz, “Futurliner Restoration” with Dave Kindig, and the “All Women Build – Chevy Montage Restoration” with Bogi Lateiner.

Auto Detailing Studio

Another new feature this year is the Auto Detailing Studio, where you can learn the ins and outs of detailing your car… well, from the inside out! Thanks to panels all weekend long, you can learn the latest techniques from the pros themselves, watch the newest products demonstrated before your eyes, and get the help you need to make your own car show ready. Join emcee Jimbo Balaam for presentations including “Wax Application Tips” with Rob Pavlowski, “Wheel Cleaning Tips” with Claude Harris, “Intro to Paint Care” with Mike Stoops, and many more. Your car will thank you!

2018 Project Car

Rounding off the trifecta of new-to-2018 features, The Classic Auto Show is featuring a Project Car, where fans can help decide the direction of the build at every stage of the project. Follow the journey of the restoration in video blog episodes now, and see the car unveiled at the show in The Garage! Enter the raffle to win this Project Car, and you may only be a ticket away from becoming the owner of your very own, completely restored 1967 Camaro! Not to mention, 100% of the proceeds will go to this year’s official charity, The Ronald McDonald House of Central Valley.
