Event Spotlight: The Washington Auto Show

2018 is finally here, which means it’s time to shift into high gear at The Washington Auto Show! Voted one of the nation’s top five auto shows by the International Organization of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers, this world class event will once again showcase the newest cars to hit the lot, displays of historic vehicles, and cutting-edge exhibits. Enjoy live music, specialty brews, art, local celebrities, contests, and Ride N’ Drives for ten full days starting on January 26th, only at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center!

Surround Yourself With 2018’s Automotive Prowess

As the largest public auto show in Washington, D.C, The Washington Auto Show brings together car lovers from all backgrounds to celebrate everything from coupes to SUVs and everything in between. With more than 600 new models from 35 manufacturers this year, there is no shortage of amazing automobiles to experience. Feast your eyes on man-made marvels like the Ferrari Enzo, the Audi R8 Spyder, the the Porsche 718 Cayman, and so many more. Embark on a VIP tour led by expert automotive journalists Les Jackson, Fadra Nally and William West Hopper. And don’t forget to meet celebrities and special guests throughout the week including Dave Martinez, Otto Porter, Josh Norman, and Tom Wilson!

Test Drive Top-of-the-Line Cars

There’s no better way to truly admire a car than taking it out on the road yourself! During the dozens of Ride N’ Drives offered throughout the event, you can test drive some of the most popular makes and models on the market. Get behind the wheel of your favorite cars from prominent brands like Ford, BMW, Kia, Mazda, Toyota, and Volkswagen. Who knows? You might just fall in love with your next car at the show!

Try Your Hand at the Hands-On Contest

What if you could win a new car with just the touch of your hand? Thanks to the return of Washington’s favorite reality show, the Hyundai “Hands-On” contest, a handful of chosen Washingtonians will have a chance to win a brand new Hyundai Tucson! All these lucky competitors will have to do is stay in nearly constant physical contact with the car the longest. The catch? The contest is usually multiple days long. The first Hands-On contest occurred in 1999, and came down to competing officers from the army and the navy, so there’s no telling what this year has in store

Don’t be a backseat driver, take the wheel and get your tickets today!

“We’re looking forward to the greatest show ever this year. We’ll have more than 650 new vehicles, displays including a first-ever 100,000-square-foot test track from Jaguar Land Rover, and live painting of vehicles at the ART-of-Motion display. Those are just a few of the things that make The Washington Auto Show one of the top five auto shows in the United States and the largest indoor consumer event in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area.” – John O’Donnell, Washington Auto Show President and CEO
