Road Journal: MomoCon and Greenwich Town Party

One of our favorite things about working alongside so many different events is the opportunity to offer our expertise on-site! Last week, we traveled to Atlanta, GA to work with our friends at MomoCon, and Greenwich, CT to help make sure this year’s Greenwich Town Party was the best yet.

Read on for a recap of our experiences at these awesome events!

MomoCon – Sam Smith, Client Support Representative

This past weekend I had the pleasure of supporting one of our newer partners, MomoCon, on-site at their event in Atlanta. MomoCon offered a little bit of everything for all who attended, from celebrity guests, to tons of panels, a gaming hall, and even a Capcom-themed concert. The ShowClix team was handling all advanced membership sales, and on-site I helped run the registration area where fans would come to collect their badges. Offering something for fans of anime, gaming, manga, cosplay, and so much more, MomoCon 2018 was an amazing convention experience, and we’re already looking forward to next year. Memberships for MomoCon 2019 are on sale now, so reserve yours today and we’ll see you there!

Greenwich Town Party – Allison Taylor, Client Success Manager

ShowClix was invited back for the fourth year to manage on-site scanning and access control at Greenwich Town Party. This was my first year onsite at the event, and I was looking forward to it, to say the least! Growing up in Connecticut, it is well known that Greenwich is a very tight-knit community, and this party is a testament to that. This town party is an opportunity for Greenwich to celebrate their community, with new and legendary artists playing on two stages throughout the day, food vendors, fundraising, and fun activities for the kids.

People lined up starting at 5:00am the day of the party to get their blankets and chairs in a prime location on the lawn for the headliner – Eric Clapton. The crowds were amazing, and their excitement about being there was contagious. I already can’t wait until next year!
