Throughout last week, I had the pleasure of being a part of the on-site team that helped make this year’s Riverbend Festival in Chattanooga, TN a great experience for all!
We had quite a bit of the ShowClix team on-site, and I was primarily tasked with handling box office support and on-site fulfillment at will call. All the event volunteers were very pleased with the simplicity and intuitiveness of our box office process. Also working with us on-site were our partners from Token, who provided the RFID and cashless tech for the event. We collaborated with them throughout the festival, utilizing their software and hardware to fulfill orders, execute wristband exchanges, and address any attendee questions quickly.
One of the greatest things about working on-site at a festival like Riverbend is the amazing lineup of performers, and the overall festival experience as a whole. Weezer always puts on a great show! I was also pleasantly surprised by Macklemore’s performance. His stage set up was super rad with a brass section and all kinds of antics. All in all, the vibe of the city was just amazing and so welcoming. There were a lot of changes to the Festival this year and the local Chattanoogans I spoke to were so open to them, while also voicing their opinions and suggestions in a polite and kind manner. Southern hospitality is alive and well in Chattanooga!
I’d also like to give a shout out to the Riverbend box office manager, Barbara! She was just the sweetest and best person all week. As always, my fellow ShowClix on-site staffers (Katie and Adry) were beyond amazing, and I learned so much from them on this trip. It was my first ever on-site experience and they made it a breeze!
