ShowClix Team Tips: Our Favorite Office Apps

At ShowClix, we love everything event or tech related. So, it should come as no surprise that our team is enthusiastic about the apps that make our lives as event professionals easier.

We surveyed our team for their download recommendations and came up with our must-have event professional office app list.

Hootsuite – Marketing Recommendation

Hootsuite automates the social posting process by allowing you to schedule posts on multiple social platforms. You can plan out all your posts for the week in one sitting. Also by creating streams, Hootsuite provides the perfect system to monitor the buzz around your event, so that you don’t miss any important content!

Google Docs – Client Service Recommendation

While not the flashiest of choices, this application creates, edits, and stores documents and spreadsheets that can later be accessed from almost any computer or mobile device. One of our Client Service Managers recalled, “When I worked for a venue, shared Google Docs were the number one way we shared information between staff and production crew.”

Evernote – Customer Care Recommendation

Evernote is a great tool for organizing the various details of an event that may be lost in the chaos. Event professionals can save nearly anything on Evernote: sounds, images, files, photos, even handwritten notes. It also features a Web Clipper so you can easily bring up favorite websites that inspire you. The best part is, it syncs across devices.

Amazon Prime – Event Operations Recommendation

Two-day shipping is great, but Amazon has completely stepped up their game for quick deliveries in tight squeezes! Our team utilized the Amazon Prime app during an on-site event, and the needed supplies arrived in just a few hours.

Wunderlist – Event Operations Recommendation

Wunderlist is a great task-management app that features shared to-do lists that teams can use to stay organized and on task. Everyone on your team will be on the same page towards completing your goal – executing an awesome event!

LastPass – Engineering Recommendation

Having trouble remembering all your passwords? Want to be more secure? Use LastPass so you can focus on your event, not your passwords. You create a master password, which then lets you log into all of your accounts. Don’t worry about security because LastPass uses leading encryption algorithms, local only encryption, and is only accessible by you or if you share certain sites with your team.

Slack – ShowClix Recommendation

Our team can’t get enough of Slack. Slack brings all your communication together in one place. It’s real-time messaging, archiving, and search for modern teams. Slack allows you to segment conversations by topics, teams, or any division that makes sense. It even integrates with various services, has easy search options, and makes file uploads a breeze. Slack’s various options assures you and your team will be on the same page.
