Our office is buzzing with excitement from the onset of warm nights, cold beers, and a summer fandom schedule that’s sure to delight! Check out some of our favorites:

Awesome Con Washington Convention Center, Washington, D.C. – June 16-18, 2017

Kick off the summer with D.C.’s beloved comic con: Awesome Con! At its core, Awesome Con is meant for lovers of all things geekdom and pop culture. In addition to the usual panels, photo ops, cosplay, and gaming tournaments, Future Con, a con within the con, is brand new to the scene this year. Created from the collaboration of Smithsonian Magazine and Awesome Con, Future Con will highlight the intersection of science, technology, and Sci-Fi inside D.C.’s largest pop culture event! We can’t wait for this exciting addition to an already awesome event.

Walker Stalker Con and Heroes & Villains Portland Oregon Convention Center, Portland, OR – June 24-25, 2017

Portland, Fan Fest is bringing you two incredible events for the price of one! One ticket grants you access to both Walker Stalker Con and Heroes & Villains. Spend your weekend among your favorite walkers before heading across the new and expanded venue to meet cast members from Arrow, Gotham, and more at Heroes & Villains. Don’t miss the opportunity to immerse yourself in your favorite fantasy worlds at this special joint event.

Oz Comic-Con Melbourne 2017 Melbourne Convention and Exhibition C, South Wharf, VIC – July 1-2, 2017

Don your capes, gather your comic books, assemble your squad, and get ready to meet your favorite celebrities at Oz Comic-Con! Now spanning across five states, Oz Comic-Con is the premiere pop culture event in all of Australia. As an attendee, you can expect more than the usual at this one-of-a-kind event. Aspiring fashion designers can submit their pop culture-inspired designs for the Oz Comic-Con Fashion Show, night owls can explore the city at “geek-friendly” events after hours, and families can kick back and relax in their own space with kid-friendly activities.

Heroes & Villains Nashville Music City Center, Nashville, TN – July 8-9, 2017

Heroes & Villains is flying into Nashville for a weekend of heroic celebration! Meet the stars of your favorite comic-inspired television shows and movies, and then become your own hero. Test your skills in archery, channel your inner Spiderman on the velcro wall, and test your agility in an obstacle course.

Corpus Christi Comic Con RMB Fairgrounds, Robstown, TX – July 22-23, 2017

Texas, join Corpus Christi Comic Con (C4) in celebrating all things comics, TV, film, toys, games, and cosplay! Get to know your favorite artists, actors, and wrestlers with panels that are open to all attendees. Everyone is encouraged to dress up as their favorite pop culture icons, so be sure to get started early on to wow your fellow cosplayers!

ReplayFX David L. Convention Center, Pittsburgh, PA – July 27-30, 2017

Hosted in our hometown, ReplayFX is a convention unlike any other. Featuring the largest public collection of working pinball, arcade, tabletop, and console games, this con takes its attendees back to the fun and games of the 70s, 80s, and 90s. True pinball masters may just walk away with some prize money by battling for the title of champion during the Pinburgh Match-Play pinball tournament. The convention’s namesake, the Replay Foundation, is dedicated to the preservation, restoration, and enjoyment of pinball and video game technology, so if you believe in the power of play, this is the crowd for you!

Anisong World Matsuri at Otakon Walter E. Washington Convention Center, Washington, DC – August 11-12

Featuring two days of concerts and events with some of Japan’s most popular acts, Anisong World Matsuri makes its East Coast debut at Otakon this August. Extend the fun of Otakon on Friday night with JAM Project and T.M.Revolution, then again on Saturday night with Yousei Teikoku and FLOW. You won’t want to miss this beloved celebration of Japanese pop culture!

Rose City Comic Con Oregon Convention Center, Portland, OR – September 8-10, 2017

Portlanders won’t want to miss the city’s premier pop culture event. Expanding to three days in 2017, Rose City Comic Con’s primary focus is on comics, comic creators, and the creative process. Not only will you get a closer look inside the making of some of America’s most beloved comic books to date, but admission also grants you access to gaming, sci-fi, cosplay, anime, fantasy, and everything in between! There’s something for everyone at this three day extravaganza!

A Video Game Con Parsippany PAL, Parsippany, NJ – September 9-10, 2017

Calling all gamers! A Video Game Con (AVGC) is hosting a weekend filled with retro and modern gaming. If consoles are your specialty, check out the video game free play area, featuring consoles from the third generation, all the way up to the current eighth gen. Or you can head over to the arcade and pinball area, where gamers can prove once and for all who’s the best of the best, as they test their skills in one of AVGC’s casual or professional tournaments.
