Despite the hot, hot heat and our packed schedules, this summertime has been a good one in Pittsburgh. There have been great concerts, beautiful parks to explore, exciting sporting events, awesome “only in Pittsburgh” spots… you can’t be bored in the ‘Burgh during the summer! This night is all about celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Ziggy Stardust with a 30-song set at the Rex Theater lead by Chris Theoret. Promised to be one of the most “complete, visually engaging and musically stunning tributes to the chameleonic rocker ever produced,” Theoret has assembled a power band to bring Bowie’s essence to the Burgh for a night. Filled with tons of talent and surprises, this is a night any Bowie fan should not miss at the intimate Rex Theater!
As America’s largest nonprofit aviary, the National Aviary, located on the Historic North Side, is full of hundreds of exotic and beautiful birds. If you haven’t made a visit yet, a Night in the Tropics will have you hooked! Spend an evening amongst feathered friends, nibble on delicious local fare, sip tropical drinks and dance the night away with sounds from The Freedom Band.
