Great American Comic Con: Las Vegas Cashman Center in Las Vegas, NV – December 3-4, 2016
Great American Comic Con is a newbie to the con scene, but they’re making a splash by bringing some of the biggest comic creators to their fans. Superman and Amazing Spider-Man artist John Ramita Jr., Batman and Green Arrow artist Neal Adams, and Dr. Strange artist Frank Brunner are just a few of the comic book greats who will be in attendance. Don’t miss your chance to meet the masterminds behind America’s favorite comics in Las Vegas this December!
Steel City Con Monroeville Convention Center in Pittsburgh, PA – December 9-11, 2016
Taking place right in our hometown of Pittsburgh, Steel City Con is packing their celebrity lineup with guests you won’t want to miss! Fans of The Walking Dead will have the opportunity to meet King Ezekiel (Khary Payton), Abraham Ford (Michael Cudlitz), and Eugene Porter (Josh McDermitt). Other notable guests include wrestling legends Amy Dumas and Chris Jericho, as well as a fan favorite Bonnie Wright, best known for her role as Ginny Weasley in the Harry Potter series. This is a celebrity-packed event that’s a must-attend for every pop culture junkie!
Walker Stalker Con – Charlotte The Park Expo and Conference Center in Charlotte, NC – December 17-18, 2016
The infamous con dedicated to the fandom of The Walking Dead comes to Charlotte for another awesome event. The stars of the show such as, Jesus (Tom Payne), Hershel (Scott Wilson), and Abraham (Michael Cudlitz), will be in attendance to answer questions and pose for photo-ops. However, fans of the hit series Breaking Bad will be geeked to learn that Gus (Giancarlo Esposito) and Walt Jr. (RJ Mitte) will also be at this Walker Stalker Con! If you’re particularly taken with one of the cast members, purchase a photo-op to have a professional photo taken with your favorite character from The Walking Dead and preserve the experience of a lifetime.
PAX South Henry B Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, TX – January 27-29, 2017
If you can’t get enough of gaming, then PAX is the place for you. A convention that treats all gaming experiences as equal, there’s something for every kind of gamer. Fans can pick their poison – PAX offers console freeplay, a PC area, tabletop play, an exhibit hall featuring unreleased games and hardware, a handheld lounge, an Omegathon tournament (with a trip to Japan as the grand prize), and gaming panels galore! Walker Stalker Con – London Olympia Grand London in Kensington, UK – March 4-5, 2017
After its roaring success after last year’s inception, Walker Stalker Con goes across the Atlantic to London for their sold-out event. Lucky ticket holders will catch their favorite actors from The Walking Dead, including Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and Daryl (Norman Reedus)! Emerald City Comicon Washington State Convention Center in Seattle, Washington – March 2 – 5, 2017
Emerald City Comicon has been in the game for fifteen years and is only growing more popular as it ages. Taking place in scenic and beautiful downtown Seattle, it holds its place as the premier comic book and pop culture convention in the Northwest. The schedule includes screenings, panels, meetups, and gaming events jam-packed into four short days. Attend the con to get insider knowledge of what’s new in comics, but buy tickets fast. Pax East Boston Convention and Expo Center in Boston, MA – March 10-12, 2017
If you missed PAX South, catch the gaming event in Boston this March. If you have a great idea for a panel, submit it to PAX East before December 16th for consideration. Past panels have included gaming subjects which range from gaming and mental illness, to the role of equality in gaming, to gaming career advice in the gaming industry. While submissions for the PAX Indie Showcase have closed, you should also check out the new and exciting games being brought to the masses by the coolest indie mobile game developers like A Tofu Trail and Antihero.
